Cool the fire for greenhouse emission cuts

One of the biggest problems in managing remote landscapes is funding people on the ground in these areas. Another important issue is managing the emission of greenhouse gases. One innovative solution to both these challenges could be the West Arnhem Land Fire Abatement (WALFA) project which looks at how to better manage fire in Arnhem Land—and to fund long-term land management with income from from the consequent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
